The Patio Project- The Beginning

Once upon a time, my husband was given many, many brick pavers from the construction company he used to work for. They were left over from various jobs and he had to haul them home himself. We couldn't be picky about style or color. We just took all that that they had in hopes in creating a nice patio for our back yard.
The patio project started in May of 2005. I wish I had time to narrate each step for those of you who are interested. Bascially, it took a lot of TIME and HARD WORK. Josh could do a better job explaining these pictures. Our back yard before... lots of grass, cement stepping stones. We had stone and sand delivered... that's a stone pile in this picture.
After many discussions and drawings, we agreed upon a design. In the end, we actually changed the original plan. We had wanted the patio to be more curvy, but after realizing how many cuts that would mean making to bricks... we decided upon a rectangle instead. ;)
