Halloween
We got over 300 trick or treaters this year. Every year, I think I'm prepared to face the hoardes of kids in costumes and then we always run out of loot anyway. I like to be creative and give a mix of candy and other stuff (stickers, bouncey balls, stencils, mini notebooks, whistles, etc.). I also buy Wendy's frosty certificates to give out as certificates for really cool costumes. This was the first time I haven't made up actual goody bags for each kid. It was a big 'ole pain to select three items for each kid from the treat bowl, though.... and of course, it didn't help that it was COLD and sprinkling. I still had lots of fun, though. My favorite was a boy about four dressed like a cowboy. He said, "Howdy, partner!" and was adorable. Josh and I also got a giggle at a little dinosaur who turned around and shook her tail for us (her dad's request). We didn't get too many teens, thankfully, just lots of super excited kids! I did take Isaac around in his costume to visit the neighbors. He wasn't quite sure about the whole ordeal, but picked up a few treats for his parents anyway (I told our neighbors not to, but they gave us candy anyway!). Enjoy the pictures!
Orange and black outfit for they day
Looks like he's got some tricks up his sleeve
"Hi!! It's Halloween!"
"Can we just, um, stay inside instead?"
We let the little lion sample a lollipop. :)
Lastly, my pumpkin before...
and AFTER. :)
