24 Weeks

Isaac is now 24 weeks old!

Updates on our cutie pie:

* Weighs 20 pounds now! He's very dense, though... a lot heavier than he looks. I know he's chubby, but he's still wearing about half 3-6 month and half 6-9 month clothing. So, it's not like he's this huge monster baby or anything. LOL

* Loves to be outside... going for walks in his stroller, making discoveries around the yard (rain, birds, leaves, and roses are pretty interesting), or just sitting on the back porch in his chair.

* Making noises to get our attention. He "talks" until you look down at him and then smiles.

* Putting more vowel sounds together as he babbles. He's made a "ma" sound and I try and coax him to say two in a row. The fake cough is also back. It's one of his favorite noises these days.

* Still no teeth, but he is a pro at blowing spit bubbles. He's been knawing on his index finger all the time and it makes him look like he's thinking.

* Grabs for anything he can reach... especially my hair (ouch!). He's also discovered how to pull the tabs to open his diaper. Toys are a MUST to keep his hands busy during changes now.

* Enjoys playing with toys on the floor because he can reach them more himself now. Josh joins him and he'll lay there throwing a stuffed football or a beach ball in the air. That's pretty intriguing to our little guy.

* Starting to show a little bit of anxiety. If I walk away, he'll check multiple times to see where I've gone. He also whined a little bit when some family friends (that he didn't know) tried holding him this weekend.

* Went in the pool for the first time and tried some new solids (just taste tests) this past weekend. Pics to be posted soon.

This is the face Isaac gave when I asked if he'd made a stinky diaper. Josh had *just* changed him. LOL


He sleeps!! Oh, on someone's lap, of course.
