Trees, Please

Josh went on a tree-planting spree this weekend.... I'll take some pictures soon. Right now, we are in the process of doing lots of outdoor projects and everything is just a work in progress. These aren't my pictures. ;)

He planted...

A Japanese Lilac Tree by our new patio.

It's about 6 feet tall now and ready to bloom. I love the leaf shape and color and just had to have it.

We have two huge Silver Maple Trees on our property... over a hundred years old, I'm sure. One is ready to come down (due to safety concerns, it sits near the house) and the other has lots of dead wood on it. So, Josh planted some little Maples around the property.... you know those little ones that sprout up during springtime in the flower beds.

He also planted two Norway Spruces in the back part of our yard. Of course, they look like Charlie Brown Christmas trees right now.

Lastly, he planted five Gold Standard Hostas for me up front. We also have our our property: two cherry trees, a Red Maple Tree, an Oak Tree, and a Rose of Sharon Tree. Josh is working on finishing up the patio and then we are going to edge the flowerbeds all along the house with the extra bricks. He needs to level out the yard with fill dirt and plant some grass seed. I need to do some mulching and weeding along the side of the house and prune my roses. There's a million other little things I'm probably forgetting. We've also been longing for some patio furniture... but, that will have to wait until either end of the season sales or next spring.

Busy, busy with yard work! ;)

Tons of people count on your blog, like me for instance. Lot's of people just don't have anything to say. That's what I have been told.
