Weekly Update #54

(Sorry this post is a couple of days late... and I hope to be posting tons of Christmas pictures soon!)

Isaac is now 1 year and 2 weeks old!

Updates on our busy boy:

* Definitely going through a growth spurt right now... he's doing lots of eating and sleeping (yes!!).

* Saying his new word a lot, it's a funny one! He says, "osh, osh, osh, Josh!"

* Working very hard on walking! He's gotten very brave about cruising all over the place, walking with his toys, and loves to practice going back and forth between two people. So far, he'll take one step and then tumble. He loves this new game... he squeals and smiles and is so proud of himself!

* Knows shoes go on his feet, hats go on his head, and will try to brush my hair with a brush. When we are getting him dressed, he'll present the body parts to help us (much better than fighting getting dressed, for sure!).

* Says, "Ho, hoooo!" on his toy telephones. We assume that's his version of "hello" as he will also push the phone towards our ears, wanting us to talk on them.

* Loves to cuddle and if you ask for a kiss... you'll get a smooch!

* Bounces along to dance to any type of music these days and will sometimes wave his hand around, too. He especially loved all of the fun musical toys at his Grandma & Grandpa W's house.

* Talking a ton, lots of babbling and made up words.

* Mimicks movements and sounds. The cutest thing happened last night when he kept mimicking my mom. She would tilt her head and smile and he would do it back. Once we all laughed at him, he did it over and over. He loves to be the center of attention!

* Had a wonderful time visiting with family during Christmas time (pics to come soon!). After awhile, he got very sick of being held all the time and got grumpy. He preferred to crawl around and explore the new places we were visiting. He loved trying all the new foods and playing with all his new toys, of course!

My family has been doing this with him all week... they sing to him, "Hoooow big is Isaaaac....?" Isaac will raise his hands in the air to show "Thhhhhhhisss BIG!" It's super cute, as you can see!
Somebody's tired and a tad pouty...
But, has loved having his Grandma A here to visit!
