Random Updates

* We had quite a hectic weekend. Even though it was great to see Dan, Kristi, and Aveline and Josh got lots of painting done... Isaac was super fussy. Make that SUPER fussy. He was very overwhelmed by his cousin Aveline (16 months old). I'll post more about that later along with pictures. Oh, and part of the stress was also due to our crazy mutts. They are used to being inside dogs most of the time and that wasn't really practical with two babies, four adults, and a small house. LOL

* On top of freaking out about Aveline, Isaac was fretting about his very first "boo-boo." Long story short, I tripped over a baby gate, stepped into a container of toys, and went tumbling... while holding Isaac. Yikes! Thankfully, I was able to "catch" his head as we went down and he landed on his bottom. His head did get a scrape from a toy block on the floor and so we had ice, swelling, reddness, etc. It looks just fine now... just a little scrape on the side of his face. At the time, it was very stressful and he cried REALLY hard. :( The odd thing is that *just* before it happened, Dan had been sharing stories about accidentally dropping kids. We were all giggling at the dinner table about the funny "Oh, honey, I did that to you so many times and you're fine." stories parents tell their children when they're grown.

* I keep forgetting to post about my SURPRISE from when I got home from the week at my mom's. Actually, it was a surprise I kind of spoiled because I'm nosey. Josh decided to work on a house project while we were gone because he'd have the extra time. He kept telling me that it was the patio he was working on... but, I knew better! Every time I talked to him, he barely had anything to say about it. Normally, my husband would be giving details such as.. "Well, I layed 23 brick long the side parallel to the house and next, I will use 5 lbs. of mortar to secure and make sure they are level." Hee, hee. Anyway, the surprise was that the whole time, he was painting our living room instead!! Yippee!! Pictures to come soon... it looks SO nice. :)

* I also need to post pictures sometime of our new patio furniture! We found a great set at Lowe's on clearance, minus the umbrella. Next season, we'll find a neutral umbrella to match. For now, we've got a super nice set out there (two small square tables and six chairs!). We paid less than two hundred dollars for about $500 worth of furniture. Not bad!

* Isaac is SICK. Oh, man... he was up last night at 11 and then went back down. Up again at 2:30 and guess when he finally went back down? 6:00 a.m. I'm fairly sure it's a cold because his nose is runny. Sorry if TMI, but it's yellow and goopy. That means an infection, right? No fever yet, just a slight cough. He's mostly just irritable and clingy. I am hoping and praying that I do not get sick as well. I'm exhausted. I can't imagine how Josh feels at work today because he was up with us most the night/morning.

* I will try and post the rest of my pictures from my trip to NEO today. If not, be patient! I have some friends coming to visit later this week and our house is a disaster. I really need to find some energy to clean. Of course, if I get sick, too... the two of us may just curl up in a ball and ask them to reschedule. :)
