Just Some Thoughts

I wonder why everyone is in such a hurry when it comes to babies growing up. A year and a half is how long I had to wait until I got pregnant. Then, I was 9 days overdue. Now that my son is here and I'm lucky enough to be able to stay home and raise him... why rush? All babies will eventually roll over, crawl, walk, get teeth, talk, etc. Isaac is an extremely healthy boy. He's above average in height and weight... and cuteness! His strengths are his dexterity, vocal skills, interaction with people, easygoing personality, and sense of humor. Wait, does eating count, too? He's reached every milestone on time or before expected.

But, you still have people who say... "Well, at 8 months, my baby had a gazillion teeth!" So? "At 8 months, my baby was walking to school!" So? Okay, maybe those are exaggerations. You know what? I'm not in a hurry to be chasing him around the house. I like that he stays in the general area I put him. I'm also not in a hurry for him to have teeth. I'm still nursing, you remember... and I love his toothless grin. I'd like to think I'm doing a pretty good job with my son. I'm thrilled at how much he's changing and growing as time goes by. But, at the same time, I'm in no rush! Somedays I wonder where my baby went and who replaced him with a little boy. (sigh)

I know, I have been watching video clips of Chey when she was just 3 and 4 months old. She was just on the brink of things, now it's a hole new ball game. LOL.

Time has certainly gone by in a flash, I wish I could slow it down or stop it sometimes. But alas time stops for no one.

We will just have to enjoy each moment as they come. Then smile in rembrance as they grow.

I think that's a great way to approach it. We all grow up so fast and to have them "little" for a while is not such a bad thing.
Plus Isaac is just too cute to not have an extended time as the poster child for "happy babies"

hugs to you and cute Issac
