15 Weeks
I have tons of pictures to post... from the weekend we spent at my mom's and from the last few days. But, this has to be quick because I only have a few minutes. Look for some more posts in the next few days. I didn't want to miss this weekly post because I haven't missed one since I started them.
Updates on Isaac at 15 weeks old:
* Getting VERY heavy! We love his chunky arms and legs.. and double chin. He's into size 3 diapers now and even outgrowing some of his 3-6 month clothing. We definitely have a big boy on our hands! LOL
* Losing his hair on the sides of his head while the top continues to grow longer. The new stuff that is coming in his thicker and a lighter brown.
* Tried the exersaucer for the first time this week and LOVES it. He needs propped with a blanket and can't reach much yet, but still has fun.
* Still doing horribly with his daytime naps. I'm trying to get him on a schedule and get him to sleep in his crib this week. He's not taking any big naps anymore, all just cat naps... so, that makes for one cranky boy. He is still doing great in his crib, though... and I'm thankful for that so I have the energy to deal with him all day.
* Noticing more things around him. He likes to look at the words or designs on clothing and has been smiling at Sophie when she comes over to see him.
* Very determined to "work" his musical toys!
* Definitely teething because he sticks his fingers in his mouth all the time. I hate slimey, sticky hands!
* Babbling more elaborately and has started a new noise of smacking his lips. Hee, hee!
* Smiles and takes a deep breath when I blow air across the top of his head. It's so cute! Ah, it's the little things that amuse him.
Enjoy the pictures... and check back for more soon! I have tons to post when I get some more time online.
"Ha, ha... this exersaucer thing is so FUN!"
"Good morning! I'll try to be a good boy today!"
On top of the horrible napping ordeals this week, I have made a mistake. I've been eating too much of one food that babies are prone to be allergic to- peanuts. So, Isaac has reacted to it has been spitting up like crazy. I don't think he's allergic to peanuts because I've eaten them the whole time I've been nursing. But, I had peanut butter crackers and two peanut granola bars today and that was too much for him. YUCK! I cleaned up so much spit-up today. No more peanuts for me so we can see if that was the problem for sure. It just stinks to have a cranky boy who won't nap also spitting up at the same time... LOL"Mommy, my tummy hurts!"
Oh! I almost forgot... we went for our first walk outside today! Isaac's been in his stroller at the mall a few times, but not in the neighborhood. Ohio is finally warming up and we enjoyed the sunny day (well, as much as we could while dealing with the spitting up and not napping well stuff)!
