The Big Project

I've started a scrapbook for Isaac! Kind of exciting because it's just the sort of thing that I LOVE to do! For those that don't know, I have a degree in Art Education and taught art classes to elementary students for three years. So, I'm pretty crafty.... or as, my friends call me... "artsy fartsy."

Scrapbooking is overwhelming. There are just way TOO many gadgets and gizmos out there, it freaks me out. They even have conventions and people who scrapbook call themselves "scrapper" or "croppers." LOL Anyway, Isaac's scrapbook is going to be pretty simple... paper, stickers, and photos. I'm not going to get into all that crazy metal and fabric 3-d stuff because the book I have uses plastic protectors over the pages. I went to JoAnn's craft store last weekend and could have spent $300 in a flash on supplies for the book. Supplies are SO expensive and there are aisles and aisle of it. I've decided to keep things simple because of that and just pick up a few items here and there when I see a sale (my mom and sisters have given me some stuff as gifts, too).

So far, I've completed the cover page and am working on a few others that will go in the beginning of the book. I plan for the scrapbook to cover Isaac's first year. Fun, fun! Oh, and my dining room table is a mess. Paper, stickers, glue sticks, photos galore! I had fun, what can I say?

So far it really does look good.

If I left the table like that, I wouldn't hear the end of it.

If I had a hard time finding a hamper or laundry basket for my dirty clothes, I wouldn't hear the end of it. LOL

Nice comment, Josh. I couldn't come up with a very good comeback.
