Sent Home

No baby yet... we just got home after a LONG day at the hospital getting tests done!The good news is that everything is FINE... we are just waiting for Isaac to decide to come on his own! No induction today.

The non-stress test was pretty easy and Isaac passed with flying colors. They monitored his heartrate over a half an hour. They wanted to have him show some movement during that time at least twice and said we could help him along (Josh made his phone ring and then I pushed my belly around bit... LOL). I showed a mild contraction as well while they had me hooked up to the monitors.

We had to wait a LONG time for our ultrasound due to some other emergencies at the hospital. But, once we got in... the baby looked great! They measured his size and guessed his weight to be 9 lbs.!! For sure, at least 8! Everything went well during the ultrasound... he of course showed us his "boy parts" again and we saw his heart along with his stomach, kidneys, etc. It was weird to see him so BIG on the screen and looking much more human (during early ultrasounds, babies really look a lot like aliens! Ha!). Below is a funny ultrasound picture the technician snapped. It shows Isaac's nose, lips, and chin. We think he has Josh's wide nose and he definitely has chubby cheeks!So, now we just wait! We're hoping that I go into labor on my own sometime before next Tuesday. If not, we meet with the doctor then and plan for an induction. We are so happy that everything with our little guy is okay... he's very healthy and so am I. Thanks for all prayers! We hope to share more... and even bigger news soon!
