Lots To Tell...

Okay, we are back from my doctor's appointment! I have lots to tell... sorry if any of this gets confusing!

*I gained 2 lbs. in the last week (oink, oink) and my blood pressure was normal.
*I'm 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced, up from 1 cm.
*The doctor "stripped my membranes" (OUCH!) and that may/may not bring on contractions.
*Isaac's heartbeat was 156 beats per minute, much higher than his normal 135-140. The nurse said, "He's excited about being born!"

Dr. N was in a very proactive mood about getting this baby born! I'm so glad we went to see him! The big news is that at 9:00 tomorrow morning...

*We are going to the hospital to get a NTS (non stress test) on the baby.
*We are also going to get an ultrasound to check the following:
-Isaac's size
-the placenta (can degrade when overdue)
-amount of amniotic fluid (can decrease when overdue)
*If there are any problems with the above tests, they may induce me. We'll go discuss the results with my doctor afterwards.

The good news is that we officially have an induction date set *JUST IN CASE* I don't start labor naturally on my own (if everything ends up being okay tomorrow, they will let me go home and wait). We have a doctor's appt. scheduled for next Tuesday and they will induce that following Wednesday morning, Dec. 14th.

So, there's the update! Thank you so much for checking up on us... we will let everyone know how the tests go tomorrow. That is, unless we have to stay at the hospital and in that case... look for an email after the baby is born!
