One Week Old

I am SO behind in posting... I have a tons of pictures I want to post from the past week. Hopefully, I can catch up when the extra calvary arrives this Friday (my mom and sisters). LOL I still need to post all about how Isaac even arrived and of course share tons of family pictures... our little guy is pretty popular!

Today, Isaac turned one week old. As an update... his first doc appt. went well. He lost just 4 oz. during the past week (which is better than normal). Breastfed babies generally lose 10% of their birth weight in the first week and for Isaac, that would have been 13 oz. His jaundice levels went down and he does not need to be treated for it.

Both the nurses at the family doc and my OB office both "ooh-ed and ahh-ed" over him the past couple of days. It's so fun to show him off! Isaac and I are still working at nursing... it's challenge at times, but worth it!

At 21 inches, we have found that some of Isaac's 0-3 month old sleeping gowns are much too short. We've even had one outfit that was too small and way too girly according to Josh. LOL I love putting him in hats and swaddling him in a fleece blanket.... a great way to get him ready for some cuddle time! We've had tons of fun trying to figure out who he looks like and we've come to an agreement that he's a good mix (Josh's nose, my forehead, etc.).

That's all for now... have to go help Josh in the kitchen. We're working on making some Christmas cookies for our neighbors. The baby will be up and hungry soon, too!
