Week 36

Can I get any bigger? LOL A lot of people out in public are officially asking us WHEN the baby is coming. If only we knew! I'm 36 weeks pregnant today, but actually almost 37 if you go by the Nov. 30th due date instead of Dec. 5th. I know doctor's measurements can be off... but, just in case the baby is the BIG boy they think he is, I am hoping that he comes a couple of weeks early so that we can avoid a very difficult delivery or c-section.

I am having a pretty hard time getting around these days. Josh has commented that I've gotten really slow when I walk. This Thursday, the doctor will examine me to see if I've started to progress yet. We have 90% of our hospital bag packed and this week, Josh is going to install the carseat in the car. It's so crazy to think that any time now, things could start to happen.

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is still putting on the pounds — about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds and is a little less than 19 inches long.

• Major organ development is already complete, such as the kidneys and liver.

• Some fine-tuning, such as the final development of the lungs, is still taking place inside the womb. At the end of week 36 your baby is considered full term. This is why it is best to have the vast majority of preparations completed by this point; your son or daughter could arrive at any moment!
