The Culprit

For those of you who don't know us well, our dogs are like our kids. Josh and I both *LOVE* and spoil our dogs like crazy. They are in doggie heaven at our house with tons of treats, toys, and snuggles.

Last October, we adopted Sophie and she has never known a life different than having her mommy (aka, me) home with her full-time. So, recently with all this time being spent preparing for the baby... she has started to act out. To put your mind at ease, our dogs are not agressive and do very well with the babies they have been around. We are not worried about that.

So, Soph has taken it upon her part to become super duper needy when we are busy working on baby stuff... folding baby clothes, painting nursery items, leaving for a doctor's appointment, etc. She wants attention ALL the time now... she'll lay her head on your lap or paw at you to pet her! The last few times we have left the house, she has even decided to tear up some stuff out of anxiety/anger.

We first thought both dogs were culprits because Otto acted guilty as well. However, we soon figured out that Soph was the lone culprit (a piece of fabric hanging out of her mouth was the clue- She had torn up an old comforter they use for sleeping). Ugh! So, it's onto doggie jail for Sophie. She now has to be crated whenever we leave the house. We are hoping that she'll grow out of this jealousy thing and we can leave both dogs out again.

Poor Sophie. Our dogs have been real good . They are outside a lot now though , so they have torn up the yard a bit. Acting out, I don't think so, just a lot of runnig around and no supervision. To which our dogs need a lot of. lol.

Aww..she always looks so stinking cute. I would have such a hard time putting her in the crate. Maybe she can just promise you that she will never be destructive again....*wishful thinking* lol
