38 Weeks

Isaac is now 38 weeks old!

Updates on our cute munchy munch:

* Got his fourth haircut last week! It had started hanging over his ears already! Daddy was very careful to not cut too much even though Isaac was a wiggly worm.

* Has discovered how to get to a sitting position from his tummy!

* Making all sorts of new discoveries with his toys. We're most excited about him being able to throw the rollaround balls into his dinosaur toy. He can also pull the lever on his See 'n Say if I hold the other side still.

* Makes silly noises when we put our hand over his mouth. You know, the "awawaawawawaaa" type noise kids make while pretting to be an Indian? He also tries to put his finger over his bottom lip to babble that way. It usually turns out to be his whole hand swiped across his face. Both new tricks are adorable and make us all giggle!

* Wearing size 4 diapers, but clothing sizes are just *weird* right now. I'm glad it's actually cooler out now because he's been able to wear some 6-9 month long-sleeved outfits I thought he'd miss out on. They fit fine and will for a couple of weeks at least. Pants and sleeves aren't super short like I thought they would be. PJ's are the strangest because he's wearing 12 months and up in those. His Superman PJ's are 18 months, but his dino PJ's are just 12. They look the exact same when you hold them up to eachother, but are different brands. Who knows?

* Loves stacking cups... especially banging them together to make noise and taking them out of stacks.

* Enjoyed watching a new Baby Einstein video this week- "Neighborhood Animals." His favorites were the dogs, pigs, rabbits, and frogs. The puppets got lots of arm-waving and smiles, too.

* Loves to listen to people talk on the phone. I ask callers if they want to say "Hi" to him and his face just lights up to hear their voices. His eyebrows go up and he listens intently. If I don't offer him the phone, he grabs for it. LOL

* Doing really well with holding his sippy cup at mealtime. I help him position it to get a drink and he acts like such a big boy drinking his water. Nectarines and fresh green beans were the new foods lately and he likes both.

* Really working hard on crawling... I'll post some pictures in another post on all of that development.

* Napping in his crib! Yahoo!
