Isaac's World

Just a few tidbits to share about how Isaac is doing. He's a big fan of Sesame Street these days... glued to the tv when he sees Elmo.

Here is our happy little boy this past Saturday.... And here he is just minutes later when I put him on his tummy for "tummy time." He wasn't pleased... but, he needs to do it to work on his neck muscles/pulling up.
Otto's kind of indifferent when it comes to the baby. But, Sophie... ooooh! She just loves him to death! He was on the floor playing when she decided to come over and snuggle. At first, he was surprised.
But, then he smiled when he realized it was just his Sophie girl. Aww!
This face isn't new. But, it's becoming one of Isaac's favorites. I call it "crazy eyes!" He's been making it all the time now when he gets excited. LOL
I said I wasn't going to post this. But, I just can't resisit. Sorry, Josh! Saturday, Josh was all proud of himself because he dressed the baby. The first outfit he put him in was cute, it was (minus the shirt on backwards, that is!). During the next diaper change, Josh had to switch outfits because Isaac had spit up on the one he was wearing. Isaac was super cranky and was crying a ton. Josh just grabbed whatever clothes he could find quickly and put together the ensemble below. LOL I was laughing SO hard because not one single thing matches. Pastel jacket, neon striped onesie, navy pants, and red socks. Poor little baby!
It's official. Isaac is too big for his basinette. He has been napping in it downstairs since he came home from the hospital. Within the last week or so, he has not liked being put in it. He hits his hands on the sides and wakes himself up. So, we've moved the pack and play downstairs to put in it's place. That's where he'll nap during the day for now (soon, he'll move to the crib for all sleeping).
Isaac has really begun to LOVE bathtime. He likes to kick and splash in the water. However, the chunk of time immediately following bathtime has always been difficult. He HATES being cold. So, he screams his head off while getting dried off and put into his pj's. This weekend, I remembered I had a robe for him and we tried it out. Not only does he look adorable, but it did the trick. After just a few minutes cuddling in the robe, he was ready for me to dress him. Josh kept making boxer comments. I doubt boxer robes have little duckies on them, though. :)

Sesame Street .... Oh Cheyanna is a huge fan. Watches it every morning. Even at the toy store, she sure knew who Elmo was. Too Funny!!!

I think the bath time pic looks just like daddy. The one with Sophie is so cute.

Good thing you didn't let Isaac watch the Oprah episode where she revealed that (gasp!) Elmo isn't real!

Actually, he DID see Oprah. He was playing on the floor and turned his head to watch when he heard Elmo. :)
