Still ISAAC!
Well, good news from our ultrasound today! We are indeed still having a little boy! I had told the u/s technician that my mom had heard a story at work about someone finding out they were having a girl after the first u/s showed a 90% chance of a boy. Isaac was VERY open about sharing his little boy parts with us. She said that he seemed be wanting to send a message to his grandma that he was still VERY much a boy. Hee, hee!
The OB office was extremely busy because they had three deliveries today and only one doctor there. The practice we go to is small and so is the hospital. They generally don't even have a delivery everyday. Luckily, we snuck in a visit before the doc had to rush over to the hospital again. I gained 4 lbs. in the last month which brings my total up to just 16... that's very good. My blood pressure was normal and the baby's heartbeat was 136 beats per minute. He is in the head down position and does not have any more room to flip except from side to side. We didn't get very many good pictures this time of the baby because he didn't seem to want to show us his face. We did get a good view of his boy parts many, many times, though! LOL
Isaac's weight is estimated to be 4 lbs. 13 oz. today... his only measurement that wasn't right on target was his head circumference. His head is BIG just like his dad's and grandpa's!! With the new measurements of all his body parts, my estimated due date is now Nov. 30th... although the doctor didn't change it b/c it's so close to the Dec. 5th date. Plus, his head circumference could have thrown off the charts. We got to see the baby's heart, kidneys, bladder, and umbilical cord. The doctor also said that we should be careful that the baby doesn't get to be too big. He seems to be very confident that Isaac will be at least 8 lbs. Below are a few ultrasound pictures I scanned of our little (err, big) guy. Isaac is on his side with his face to the right here... you can also see his hands and knees as he's curled up in the fetal position.
This picture is of the baby's fist. If you look carefully, you can see his four fingers and one thumb.
I love this last picture... it's of our little boy's foot! Too cute!
