8 Weeks

Isaac is now 8 weeks old! Almost 2 months already!







Updates on our little boy:

*Is too long for most 0-3 month clothes, but too skinny for 3-6. He's in the large 0-3 brands and small 3-6 brands. I packed away a ton of the small 0-3 clothes and filled his closet with 3-6. I'm sad to be saying goodbye to his giraffe pj's and all the comfy Old Navy cotton pants he wore so often.

*Still just sleeping 5-7 hours a night. We may be moving him to his crib soon, though!

*Loves waking up in the morning! He's a major moring person and is always smiling like crazy (at 4:00 a.m., mind you)

*Working on those neck muscles by holding his head up when we sit him on our laps or against our chests. I've been trying to do more "tummy time" with him, but he makes me laugh. He's not strong enough to lift his head up. So, he just laughs there and tries to eat the blanket or pillow. ;)

*Watched a whole DVD yesterday for the first time! Well, 30 minutes, that is. He loved Baby Einstein's "Baby Beethoven" video. Thanks to his Aunt Sarah and Grandma J, he's got two box sets of videos to grow into and enjoy.

*Trying to "talk" more, but usually just ends up smiling and kicking his feet in excitement.

*Has learned that kicking his feet really hard makes his bouncey seat bounce faster than it's supposed to and he loves it. He's also started hitting the buttons on his swing to make the music start up.

*Loves this red, white, and black Panda bear book my mom got him and his other favorite is a "Mr. Bear" book from Grandma and Grandpa W. It's a cloth book that is also a puppet.

*Is really working on finding his hands more and more each day. He gets so excited when he manages to get a fist in his mouth and even sometimes tries to double-fist. LOL

*Was introduced to some new bottles this week and we are hoping that they will help with his gas (He only has gas issues with bottles, not nursing).

*Will be going for his first road trip this weekend... 2 1/2 hour car ride to visit my family. First trip to Grandma A's house! I'm pretty sure she's boucing off the walls with excitement. :)
